Prof. Lei Wu serves on the Party Committee of the School of Public Health and is Associate Dean of the School. She is a council member of the Aging and Anti-Aging Science Committee of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, a standing committee member of the “Internet+” Branch of the Chinese Association for Health Promotion and Education, Chair of the Geriatrics and Geriatric Health Branch of the Jiangxi Research Hospital Association, and holds leadership positions in several provincial public health and preventive medicine associations.

Research Focus

The team focuses on health risk assessment, population nutrition, and data-driven prediction of chronic and infectious disease outcomes, integrating epidemiology, biostatistics, machine learning, and real-world health data. Major research areas include:

—   Risk prediction and prognosis modeling for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases

—   Population-based evaluation of dietary risk factors, especially sodium intake

—   Health trajectories across the life course and aging populations

—   Application of big health data and advanced statistical learning methods in public health research

—   Global and regional burden of disease analysis

Selected Research Projects:

Prof. Wu has led multiple national and provincial research projects, including several funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Representative projects include:

—   Prognosis Study of Complex CAD Surgery Patients Based on Deep Survival Analysis Models and Real-World Data (NSFC, Ongoing Project)

—  Comprehensive Assessment of Multi-Factor Exercise-Nutrition Risks and Intervention Strategies (National Key R&D Program subproject, Completed Project)

—   Construction of a Prognostic Evaluation Model for AMI Patients Undergoing PCI Surgery Based on Random Forest (NSFC, Completed Project)

—   Research on Comprehensive Evaluation and Prediction Model of Elderly Physical Fitness Based on Fuzzy Neural Network (NSFC, Completed Project)

—   Early Diagnosis and Prediction Model of Alzheimer's Disease in Community Elderly Populations (NSFC, Completed Project)

—   Research on the Development Status and Innovation Needs of the Big Health Industry in Jiangxi Province (Key Project of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Completed Project)
