Research Focus: Application of qualitative and mixed-methods research to develop and evaluate strategies and interventions for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.

earning  Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, Australia. In 2022, she was awarded the "PUMC Young Scholar" title and conducted postdoctoral research at Peking Union Medical College. In 2023, she received support from the Ministry of Science and Technology's Postdoctoral Overseas Talent Recruitment Program. She has previously worked at The George Institute for Global Health and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. As a key team member, she has participated in numerous population studies, cluster randomized controlled trials, implementation science research, and cohort studies funded by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD), the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Social Science Fund of China, and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS). She has published over 50 peer-reviewed SCI papers in journals such as Hypertensionand Heart, and has contributed to the writing or translation of 7 books in Chinese and English.

IV. Representative Achievements

1. Global Promotion and Application of Sodium-Reduced Salt Substitutes

Research Contribution:A series of studies on the efficacy evaluation and policy promotion of low-sodium salt provides a solid theoretical foundation for the global adoption of potassium-enriched, sodium-reduced salt as an effective strategy to combat cardiovascular disease. The landmark "Salt Substitute and Stroke Study (SSaSS)" conducted across 600 villages in five northern Chinese provinces, in which she participated, provided the first large-scale evidence confirming the efficacy and safety of low-sodium salt in preventing stroke and cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, through global market analyses, qualitative research, and environmental scans, she has contributed multi-dimensional evidence supporting the promotion of low-sodium salt, advancing the development of global intervention strategies and guidelines.
