The Institute of Preventive Medicine, Nanchang University is a university-level research institute established in 2013 and administratively affiliated with the School of Public Health. The Institute is dedicated to advancing both basic and applied research in preventive medicine, addressing major national strategic priorities as well as regional socioeconomic and public health needs.
The Institute focuses on a broad range of research areas, including:

Bringing together the School's leading academic resources, the Institute has developed a research team led by national-level leading talents and provincial high-level scholars, supported by a strong group of mid-career researchers and overseas-trained young scientists.
In recent years, the Institute has undertaken more than 150 research and technical service projects, including grants funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), with total funding approaching RMB 30 million. Faculty members have published over 160 SCI-indexed papers. The Institute also maintains close collaborations with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hospitals, community health institutions, and industry partners, fostering strong integration of research, education, and application.
